Why Travel With Us

1. A Singular Focus

We’re proudly South African, and we’re proud to do only one thing: tailor unforgettable journeys to South Africa. While similar travel companies may juggle dozens of destinations and as many clients as possible, we focus on a single destination and a handful of select clients. That singular focus means deep expertise, personal insight, and a genuine love for what we share. We’re not trying to do everything — we’re here to do one thing brilliantly.

2. Bespoke & Personalised Service

An extraordinary country demands extraordinary journeys as unique as the travellers who take them. Each Beagle & Baobab adventure begins with a personal consultation. From there, we draw on our local knowledge to design every detail of your bespoke South African escape — from handpicked accommodation and private guides to exclusive culinary experiences. The result? A travel experience that feels less like a vacation and more like a story written just for you.

3. No Funny Stuff

We believe in putting our clients first — always. That’s why Beagle & Baobab is proud to operate on a clear, upfront service fee and nothing more. In contrast to industry norms, we decline all commissions from hotels, lodges, and other operators. This allows us to remain fully independent in our approach, designing each bespoke South African adventure based solely on what best suits your needs, not on what earns us the most in commissions.

4. An Exceptional Clientele

Our clients are globally minded, discerning, and driven by a genuine passion for exploring Africa with authenticity and meaning. They typically include accomplished professionals, entrepreneurs, and financiers from the Americas and old-world Europe — particularly Germany, the Netherlands, France, and the United Kingdom. What unites this select group is a shared curiosity and a taste for extraordinary adventure. Will you join the club?

5. A Unique Travel Philosophy

For us, travelling is about more than pretty hotel rooms and lounge chairs at the pool. It’s about experiencing unique sights, flavours, and cultures. It’s about taking it slow, about interacting ethically and meaningfully with the world and each other, and about widening our understanding. A private safari is a precious moment to reconnect with an ancient wilderness, while a slow-rolling train journey across the tip of Africa is an opportunity to marvel at the explorers of a bygone era.

“The people of South Africa are, in my experience, among the most engaging and hospitable in the world — their warmth lingers longer than even the African sun.”
